Introduction to Omaha Poker high/low.

Omaha poker is similar to Texas and this is also a community card game, but the difference lies in that there are 4 pocket cards face down in Omaha games. And there is also a compulsion that at least 2 of the pocket cards should be used to form the final winning hand.

Before playing Omaha poker it would be of some use if you have been with Texas games, but Omaha high-low is a complicated and higher variation of Texas. In Omaha high-low the pot is split between the high hand and the best low hand.

Omaha poker has the same set of rounds like in Texas like:

  • Flop – Three community cards are spread face up followed by bet or call raise.
  • Turn – Fourth community card is spread face up followed by bet or call raise.
  • River – Fifth community card is spread face up followed by bet or call raise.
